James - Digital Manager
I was the inspiration for Wings to the Past, a project that holds a special place in my heart. In 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to join an excavation with my mum. Her busy work schedule often kept us apart during the week, but that experience allowed us to spend a whole week together, delving into the world of archaeology and unearthing remarkable discoveries. This experience played a significant role in bringing us closer and laid the foundation for Wings to the Past. Currently a year 11 student, I dedicate my weekends to supporting Wings to the Past as their Digital Manager. My passion and dedication to archaeology didn't go unnoticed, as I was recognized as the runner-up for Young Archaeologist of the Year at the Council of British Archaeology’s awards ceremony in 2019. Building on this, in 2023, I proudly stood as a runner-up for the Forces Families Young Person Award.
